Former environmental scientist Ash and geochemist Fern founded Autonomy in 2019 with an aperitivo-first focus rooted in their scientific backgrounds. Spent citrus peels sourced from a Melbourne juice supplier become the base for their bitter liqueurs; native Australian botanicals shape the rest. The result is a range built around what's already there — not imported idioms, but local ones.
