Viridian Wines

A small family-owned label producing limited-volume, single-vineyard wines from the two-hectare Broadview Estate in Tasmania's Derwent Valley, 20km north of Hobart. On a slope of limestone rubble overlooking the Derwent River, the Rochford family grow Riesling, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for still and sparkling wines, using environmentally sustainable practices. Cellar-door tastings are by appointment only — an intimate, hands-on operation.
