Mount Nathan Winery

Peter Gibson established this vineyard on Mount Nathan's volcanic slopes in 2002, working the steep terrain characteristic of the Gold Coast hinterland's basalt ridge. The winery focuses on fortified wines suited to the warm, humid climate—Winter Original draws its distinctive honey character from the fruit ripeness the site achieves. Recent vintages include Gibson's Gold, a fortified blend finished with gold leaf. The operation remains small-scale, with current production managed across three family members.
