Margot Harrison planted Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Pinot Gris at her Banks Road property in 1999, and has run it with minimal intervention since — no pesticides, hand-picked parcels, indigenous plantings drawing in birds that do the pest-control work.
