FAQ

Common questions

What is Small Batch Atlas?

Small Batch Atlas is an Australian directory of craft beverage venues — distilleries, breweries, wineries, cideries, and meaderies. Visitors use it to discover places to visit, plan day trips, and follow curated tasting trails. Think of it as a dedicated, experience-focused guide to independent Australian producers.

My venue is already listed. How did that happen?

We built the directory from public sources to give visitors a comprehensive starting point. Your listing exists, but it is unverified — which means details may be incomplete or outdated. Claiming it takes a few minutes and puts you in control of what visitors see.

What do I get with a free listing?

A free claimed listing lets you update your core details: name, description, address, opening hours, contact info, and website. It also marks your listing as verified, which builds trust with visitors browsing the directory.

Why would I pay for a Standard or Premium listing?

Paid listings unlock features that help convert browsers into visitors. Standard ($199/yr) adds photo galleries and priority placement in search results. Premium ($499/yr) adds events and specials — so you can promote upcoming releases, tastings, or cellar door offers right on your listing.

How many people actually use the directory?

Small Batch Atlas lists over 2,500 venues across Australia. We are building an audience of craft beverage enthusiasts — people actively planning visits, not passive scrollers. Visitor numbers grow as we publish editorial content, tasting trails, and regional guides.

I am a small producer. Is this worth it for me?

Yes — especially the free tier. Even if you never upgrade, a complete verified listing costs nothing and means visitors searching your region will find accurate information. Paid tiers make more sense once you have events or releases worth promoting.

What is the difference between Standard and Premium?

Standard gives you a polished, photo-rich listing with priority placement. Premium adds the events and specials system — post upcoming releases, tastings, tours, and time-limited offers that appear on your listing and in our newsletter. If your calendar is active, Premium pays for itself quickly.

Can I cancel a paid subscription?

Yes, at any time. If you cancel, your listing reverts to a free claimed listing — your details stay live, you just lose the paid features. Nothing gets deleted.

Is my venue information shared with third parties?

No. Your venue details are displayed on Small Batch Atlas for visitors to find you. We do not sell or share your data.
